Once you have been assigned your personal case manager options will be discussed on how best to gather information relating to your case through surveillance.
You will possibly hear them mention Static and Mobile surveillance in relation to your case.
As you would envisage static surveillance is where an individual operator or a team will remain in a position for a period of time performing observations. An example of this is a building with multiple entry/exit points that need monitoring simultaneously over a given period of time, to record movements into and out of the property.
Mobile surveillance would normally involve an individual operative or team following a subject or item. This surveillance could see a variety of methods being used including foot, cars, vans, motorcycles dependant upon the requirements of the case.
Electronic surveillance can take many forms, including direct and indirect GPS tracking, and due to the very nature of it will be discussed with you by your case manager.
